Nominate A Veteran
- Who can nominate? PDS Optical Employees can nominate a veteran for the Lone Eagle Honor Flight. The veterans are not required to be PDS Optical employees.
- When are nominations being accepted? Nominations are now open and will close January 24, 2025.
- Who can be nominated? All U.S. veterans who served from World War II through Vietnam (1975 or prior).
- How are nominations being accepted? Nominations can be submitted electronically by clicking the link below that will take you to the online nomination form.
- When will the Honor Flight take place? The trip will take place April 7 – 9, 2025.
- What is the cost of the trip to veterans? All Veterans fly free thanks to PDS Optical.
- When will nominees be notified? Veterans accepted for the flight will be notified in late February.

Become a Guardian
Guardians play a crucial role as veterans’ travel partners during their Honor Flight experience. Veterans can either select their own guardian or be assigned one.
Guardians cannot be a spouse or significant other and must be at least one generation younger.
They must be able to physically assist their veterans through a 12-hour day, which may include pushing their veteran in a wheelchair and walking up to 10 miles throughout the day.
