Volunteer Opportunities
- Bus Leader (DC) – responsible for checking people off the bus list when boarding the bus each time; making announcements on the bus; making sure the snack bag, waters, and trash bag are passed; they would not be assigned a Veteran
- Wheelchair Wrangler (DC) – helps unload wheelchairs from the bus, load wheelchairs back on the bus, and ensures we have the right number of wheelchairs; helps pass the snack bag, waters, and trash bags on the bus; could have a Veteran assigned to them
- Registration on Monday (DC) – help get the Veterans and Guardians off the bus; assist with luggage; and pass out their bags and paperwork; would also be a Guardian and would need to arrive earlier Friday
- BWI Ground Crew (DC) – volunteers would assist the BWI Ground Crew at the airport on Friday by identifying Veterans and Guardians at their gates and getting them to the shuttle for the hotel; would also be a Guardian and would need to arrive earlier Friday
- Mail Call (Any Location) – does not need to be present the weekend of the trip; write mail to Veterans on the trip
- Welcome Home Committee (SDF & FLL) – arrange a Welcome Home Celebration at the airport when the Veterans return (airports TBD)
- Send Off Committee (SDF & FLL) - arrange a Celebration at the airport when the Veterans depart. (airports TBD)
